It's been really interesting to observe how the points you raised (privacy, autonomy, security and responsibility) are becoming more and more important principles as technology (and us) matures over time.

Traditionally, the brain has been the most private database humans had. Technology has been changing that over the past few decades but brain machine interfaces are now starting to highlight how important they really are and the repercussions thereof, like you explained, if we ignore them.

If we don't care to make it a priority in this era, I'm quite worried that it also wont be a priority in the age of direct brain-to-brain communication.
